How old do I need to be in order to get a tattoo in New York?
You will have to be at least 18 years old in order to get a tattoo from us. This is New York State Law, regardless if you have parental consent. NO EXCEPTIONS. You will also have to bring a form of valid government issued photo ID(driver license or passport).
How much you will charge for a tattoo?
For pricing, you can stop by the shop to do a consultation with us to get a price quote.(suggested) Or if you don’t live in the area, you can email us at jingstattoo@gmail.com including reference pictures, size by inch, placement. This way we will quote you with a estimate price quote (estimate price quote is not the final price for the tattoo)
Do you charge by piece or by hour?
We charge by piece for most of the time.
Do you take walk-ins?
We do take walk-ins, but it is first come first serve, Jing is booked most of the time, if you looking for Jing to do your tattoo, we highly suggest to book the appointment with her. If you look to walk in or make appointment for other artists, you can call us first to check the availability.
Do you guys accept cards or cash?
We do accept both, it’s just there will be extra fees for cards and cash will be flat. We highly suggest to do cash so you can save some extra money.
Can I make a tattoo appointment without a deposit?
No, we take appointments very seriously, so there will be a deposit required if you looking to book an appointment for a tattoo session in order to secure our artists’ time. As you know, for tattoo artists, time is money, if they left the time for your session and you are not showing up, they will have to be compensated in some way, the deposit will be the way to compensate them, keep in mind that the time and money artist lose is always more than just a deposit you paid.
What is your deposit policy, is my deposit refundable?
Deposits are not refundable. Should you need to reschedule a future appointment we ask for a minimum of 72 hours notice otherwise you forfeit your deposit. If you wish not to get your agreed tattoo anymore before artist start drawing for your tattoo, your deposit will become a credit in our store for 3 month of period for future tattoos, after that period of time, your deposit will be forfeited. If you decide not to get your agreed tattoo anymore after artist already started drawing your design, your deposit will be forfeited.
Does your shop have a private room to get tattooed?
No, but if you like to have more privacy, you can ask one of our staff to use divider screens for your tattoo session. It’s big enough to make a small private room.
I have submitted a form 2 days ago, why I still didn’t get a reply?
Unfortunately, we can’t control how email will arrive in your email box, so please make sure to check your junk box or spam folder. It’s very rare that we don’t reply within 2 days, unless it’s a holiday or Saturday to Monday.
